Holi

Holi represents the triumph of good over evil, the advent of winter and the completion of winter. The festival is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a better harvest and lasts for a day and a night. The first evening is called Chhoti Holi or Holika Dahana. The subsequent day is called Rangawali Holi or Phagwa. Holi usually falls on the final moon of the Phalguna month.
